Follow up...

Bri had a doctor's appointment today. It was a follow up for her double ear infection.  Before the doctor came in, I had the nurse check Bri's height and weight. She is still 18lbs...tipping to 19 pretty soon. And she is whopping 28 inches. I wanted them to check because my mom has been suggesting that I switch the baby carseat to a more comforting seat for Brielle. The upgrade advisory on the carseat recommends the child to be over 30lbs or 30inches and be at least one year old. However, when the doctor came in and upon further discussion, she said the recommendations have changed. Now they are advising the infants to be two years old before switching. Okay, back to the ear infection follow up. The results were that everything looks great. Her ear infections are gone...YAY! While we were there, I had the doc check my cupcake's diaper rash. She noted before checking that it might have been a side effect from the Amoxocilin. She opened the diaper and it turns out what was probably once a diaper rash turned into yeast infection. Yikes! The doctor didn't put much emphasis on the issue but I was a bit taken a back. Sooo it is true...babies can get yeast infections. Damn, damn, DAMN. This goes in the big book of 'Not my baby'.
