At this moment, my daughter is 17weeks, 18weeks tomorrow! I have been so anxious to go to her check up. Brielle is four months and I just have an overwhelming sense of excitement. We went to the doctor and confirmed it. She is off the charts since her last check up. Bri is 12lbs, 14ozs and 25inches long. My angel got three shots too. At first, I went into the doctor's office not expecting anything but a checkup. The pediatrician quickly busted my bubble and explained that my sweetie is going to be getting shots every time she comes until about six months. I know after awhile, Bri is going to hate going to her doctor visits, I know I would!
Here are some of the developments of her motor skills:
Here are some of the developments of her motor skills:
Knows how to put the pacifier in her mouth
Grabs for stuff
Has attachment issues
Okay, I'm going to touch briefly on the these items. I'm so pleased to know that she knows how to put her pacifier in her mouth now. It's so cute to see the way she uses her hand to navigate the pacifier the way she wants it. With that being said, she is also grabbing for stuff. Some things I noticed her blatantly trying to grab is a bag of chips, a plastic plate, and a water bottle. I mean, you should see her, Brielle actually had a fight with the water bottle the other day and the bottle almost won! LOL
Yes, I said attachment issues! I always hoped I wouldn't have to go through this with my daughter. I thought for sure I had the remedy or the right touch for this not to happen. But as you've probably heard, most babies that are nursed tend to have attachment problems. To combat attachment issues, I constantly keep her around a group of people. I try not to hold her for too long. But for some reason, she has discovered this sense of need. When she gets in the mood, no one can comfort her except for me. I think this is quite annoying! Don't get me wrong, I love my princess but she has got to get out of this bad habit, like yesterday!
