Baleigh walks

One week after Christmas...Baleigh is walking. It started with just two steps then four. I was amazed when it became short distances like from the sofa to the chair.

Baby girl...6 months

Baby Baleigh is 6 months...and it's quite amazing! Some of the things that she started doing is...

- eating fruit and vegetables each day including cereal

- she started reaching and grabbing stuff

- she sleeps through the night

- she is only getting one breast milk bottle per day

African American Babies - Curls

My baby Baleigh has three different curl patterns currently. As you can see from the picture below she has a rough 'ruff' patch, a curly patch, and a straight patch. I washed her hair last night and when wet, it all curls up. However, upon drying her hair it was clear that different sections required  different attention. Personally, I love her curls but I prefer the straight section. Why? Easy to maintain lol. The hardest part to attend to is the rough patch because I can see that it's going to be kinky and possibly hard to manage. It is imperative that I have a styling regimen down from now.

Rock bottom...

Today we hit rock bottom on our co-parenting journey. It started by Brian informing me that he was going to take Brielle on a vacation. Of course, I inquired about whom he was going with and all the other information a concerned parent would ask. At first, he bounced around the idea that he was going with someone (a woman) and I immediately shut down the idea. Then, he let me know that he was going by himself...just him and Bri. So my answer was a reluctant yes.

Less than 24hrs ago, I found out that he was going with a woman. And it wasn't just any woman but the same chick from his past that we have had issues with in our relationship. I let him know that it wasn't happening... no way. I went proceeded to go home, pack up some things up for the girls and I. Then I left and went to a nearby relative. Brian usually gets home at 1:45am so he kept calling hoping I would answer. I didn't.

The next morning, when I went to drop Baleigh off he was sitting in front of my moms house. He followed me around asking where Bri was and I cant keep him from his children. He went as far as not letting me in my car. Then my brother's car. Finally, I called a co-worker and had them pick me up. Brian proceeded to throw down another protest. I cried my eyes out with embarrassment.

Sleep bandit

It's bad. It's so bad. I find myself dozing off everywhere. When I'm pumping...when I'm just sitting up idle...when I'm watching tv...and even when I'm driving!

I am just tired all the time! But I think I know where the source of my fatigue is coming from.

1. Not eating properly
2. Lots of stress
3. Not enough consistent sleep

At its worst...

Today I completely lost it.

Normally, I'm off Saturday and Sunday but because I'm working this Saturday I chose to take today off so I could take Brielle to dance class.
